Football Museum Bucharest participates in the 20th edition of the Night of the Museums
Football Museum Bucharest, the only museum dedicated to football in Central and Eastern Europe, participates for the second consecutive year in the Night of Museums and opens its doors to culture and sports enthusiasts. The tickets will have a single price on the night of May 18 – 20 RON for children and adults.
The participation of the Football Museum Bucharest in the Night of the Museums 2024 will create a different architecture for what culture means today, where the experience of contemplating unique exhibits is combined with interactive activities, which will transpose the visitor on the field, in the heart of football, alongside great legends of the most loved sports. Visitors are expected again this year with a unique experience in the Old Center of Bucharest.
Emotion
The Night of the Museums at the Football Museum is more than the passion for football. It is a journey through time among unique moments in the history of Romanian and international football, which marked the course of so many famous footballers, but also the destinies of those who followed them with their hearts in their mouths at home.
It is an event dedicated both to those for whom football holds a special place in their hearts, and to those who want to discover the emotions of the most beloved sport of all time.
3000 happy visitors to the Night of the Museums at the Football Museum
Last year, in just six hours of a special program dedicated to the first participation in the Night of the Museums, more than 3000 people, adults, young children and the elderly, crossed the threshold of the Football Museum. The main attractions were the gloves Helmuth Duckadam used to defend in the 1986 Champions Cup final won by Steaua against Barcelona and, of course, the chance to take a picture with the great goalkeeper, who was the host of the event.
What can you find at the Football Museum at this year’s Night of Museums?
Highlights from the history of football, projections that give you goosebumps, t-shirts worn by great footballers marked by the desire for victory, dusty balloons from the ground of past decades, pennants of the most die-hard fans, unique collectibles, in a word, another world where you can enter for a few moments in one of the liveliest nights of the year.
Spread over 5 floors, in a historic building in the Old Center of Bucharest, the Football Museum houses unique collectibles in Central and Eastern Europe, from shirts and personal items of Hagi, Popescu, Maradona or Ronaldo, to the evolution of the ball of football from 1930 to the present.
In addition, visitors will be able to enjoy the Experience Room, where they will watch projections of key football moments, the Interactive Room, where they can step into the shoes of sports commentators or give interviews at the press table, and the Practice Room, where they can practice their skills of footballers.
