Linnify takes a step into the big league of Romanian business and launches the Corporate Innovation service with a partnership invitation
Linnify, the IT company from Cluj-Napoca with a secondary headquarters in Austin, Texas, extends its services portfolio to support corporations in efficiently developing new business lines of successful and scalable satellite products. Focusing on European-level segments of energy and sustainability, Linnify is committed to providing innovative and customised solutions to meet the rapidly changing needs of the corporate market.
Launching the Corporate Innovation service, Linnify consolidates its market position, addressing companies determined to accelerate their innovation process. This new business line enables corporations to experiment with the agility of startups while developing strategies like large companies through the Linnify validation process.
With the formalisation of the new „Corporate Innovation” service, Linnify launches an open call to the corporate environment in Romania in the form of an experimentation partnership through which they could benefit from adopting the Linnify validation process, actionable and with tangible results, explicitly responding to innovation challenges from their field.
“The experimentation partnership represents an exchange of complementary business knowledge in an environment where innovation became necessary for maintaining the competitive advantage. Through this partnership based on the methodology established in the Validation Playbook, companies benefit from extensive market research conducted by Linnify validation experts to identify specific challenges and solve them in the co-design sessions. Moreover, it facilitates an experimentation environment with start-ups that solve specific problems, with the potential to test and implement innovative solutions internally”, states Cătălin Briciu, founder and Co-CEO of Linnify.
The innovation level of Romanian companies registered an increase in recent years, according to data analysed by the National Institute of Statistics. However, Romania ranked 49th in the global innovation ranking realised by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), a United Nations agency. Lithuania, Greece and Slovakia are also at the bottom of the ranking, performing below expectations. Even if economic development registered notable progress, the innovation level in Romania remains below its potential. To support the innovation efforts through the Horizon Europe program, the European Union allocates approximately 13.5 billion euros for research and innovation in the 2023-2024 period, funds dedicated to developing revolutionary solutions to the significant environmental, energy, and geopolitical challenges, with an accent on fulfilling climatic objectives and the digital transformation of the European Union.
Moreover, the Romanian Government approved in October 2023 a state aid scheme in the form of a grant in the governing program 2021-2024 that supports research, development, and innovation, integrated development, and the efficient use of the public material base for research, through the financing of 3.1 billion lei for companies whose activity is research and development.
“With the launch of this partnership call, we underline Linnify’s firm commitment to offer integrated solutions, precisely adapted to the requirements of the Romanian business environment, proactively contributing to accelerating the digital transformation and innovation process in the Romanian business community”, continues Cătălin Briciu.
This validation methodology, used by clients in the United States of America and Germany, was defined after more than seven years of experience in building software products. It is also available in the format of the business manual, „The Validation Playbook”. Now, it extends its utility towards bigger corporate companies that want to maintain competitiveness and sustainability.
