Solutions for the future from leading specialists in circular economy and environmental finance at Climate Change Summit, National Opera in Bucharest, October 19 – 20
Vojtech Vosecky, multi-award winning circular economy specialist, and Ingmar Juergens, climate economy and sustainable finance expert, will take Climate Change Summit stage. The largest event in Central and Eastern Europe dedicated to climate change, with a focus on identifying solutions applicable in multiple sectors, takes place between October 19-20, in Bucharest. The National Opera hosts the first day of the event, while the program of the second day invites participants to 20 places in the city.
The event is open to the public, and access is based on the preselection of applicants after filling out a form on the climatechange-summit.org website.
Circular economy – the road to a sustainable future
Vojtech Vosecky is one of the most important supporters of the circular economy in Europe and is considered by LinkedIn as one of the most credible voices in Europe on green topics (Top Green Voices). He is a co-founder of the renowned think tank the Institute of Circular Economy and has worked on related issues in the European Parliament. For four years, he was responsible for the transition of the city of Prague to the circular economy, and now, together with the world-leading organization called Circle Economy, delivers cutting-edge tools and services in the Nordics, Central and Eastern Europe, and pretty much the rest of the world.
Environmental financing – a step towards a greener future
Ingmar Juergens, pioneer of mitigation-based finance, is one of the few experts covering the entire range of climate policy and finance dossiers; from adaptation, to mitigation, finance and policy to the modeling of climate change impacts and the economics of climate change.
Ingmar Juergens is the co-founder and CEO of Climate & Company, which has been addressing green finance issues since 1998. He has spent over 20 years working in positions of responsibility for international organizations such as the OECD, UN (FAO) and the EU Commission, and in recent years it has increasingly focused on finance and the role of politics in shaping private investment decisions.
Climate Innovation Leaders at Climate Change Summit
Along with them, leaders in the field of climate innovation and environmental policies, national and European decision-makers, researchers and entrepreneurs will be present at the second edition of Climate Change Summit.
